THE 2016 ROAD ROAD - SUPERBIKE CLUBS ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA -
SCAN is an assemblage of people with like minds that came together
to pursue their common interest. This movement is borne out of the need to
foster the true meaning of biking and the understanding of what it means to be
a true biker in Nigeria.
The organization currently comprises of eight motorcycling clubs :
09 Motorcycle Club, Bicnics Bikers Sokoto, Capital City MC, Infinite Bikers,
Jewel Bikers MC, Peace Riders MC, Ride Easy MC, Street Saintz MC.
The purpose of this program tagged the “The Road Roar 2016” is a
shift from the norm where people ride from their locality to the convention
ground. SCAN plans to promote the culture of tours to the convention city where
they do a selected five(5) days tour gathering other bikers, clubs as the case
may be along the line, promoting brotherhood and oneness among Nigerian Bikers.
The Tour is basically not more than 300-500km per day and the 5th
day will be tagged “The SCAN gathering”
Super biking in
Nigeria is generally regarded as a risky sport, whilst super bikers are
looked upon as irresponsible and reckless. Riding on the watchwords of safety,
honor and integrity, SCAN is set to assist super bike clubs to
promote safety, a healthy culture of mutual understanding amongst riders,
discipline and welfare within individual clubs, as well as give strategic
direction to the biking community in Nigeria.
The 2016 Road
Roar promises to be full of fun as men and women from different parts of the
country, bound together by their passion for riding, will come together to celebrate
their common interest “Motorcycling”

LEARN HOW TO BECOME A SAFE RIDER OF MOTORCYCLE @ BIKERS ACADEMY
There are a lot of people who will tell
you that if you can drive a car, you’ll be fine on a motorcycle. Those people
are wrong. There are some people who will tell you that you should just buy
your first motorcycle and teach yourself to ride it with the help of some
YouTube videos. Those people are idiots. Riding a motorcycle may be a lot like
riding a heavy bicycle, but young riders who don’t know what they’re doing get
themselves killed. The goal of riding a motorcycle is to have fun, not to get yourself
killed.
Your best chance of having fun and not getting killed is to take
one of the classes offered by BIKERS ACADEMY. These people know what they’re
doing, and while you won’t be an expert rider at the end of your course, you’ll
be competent at the basics. Handling a bike at low speeds and taking a corner
properly are not skills that come naturally, so having people who know what
they’re doing there while you practice these skills is invaluable.
