The Rock City Motor Cycle (RCMC) bikers club of Ogun state have preparations in top gear ahead of its 4th Bikers Convention in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
The convention which is held in conjunction with the Association of Nigerian Motor Cycles, (ANMC) will attract bikers from across the country. The bikers are made up of professionals from different sector of the country including business, banking, maritime etc.
ANMC the mother body for bikers in Nigeria organises yearly nationwide convention where all bikers come together to have fun and discuss issues of common interest.
The RCMC captained by Big Dee believes that the convention which will hold between July 27 and 29

in Abeokuta will be a memorable one for bikers across the country.

The Bikers Converge expects riders from other states to grace the three-day convention which promises to be fun filled.
“This is good for Abeokuta and Ogun state in general. Conventions like this boosts tourism and hospitality businesses and that is why we have decided to organise it in Abeokuta,” Baba Dee said.
He noted that bikers are not jobless people contrary to the opinion of some people. “Bikers are responsible people, they are people who are professionals in their field but they like to ride the bike.
“Biking is an exercise and I encourage Nigerians to join us as we hold this mind blowing convention,” Baba Dee urged.

Powerbikes speed can be controlled

Oxford Dictionary defines “accident” as an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury. Motorcycle accident can be in form of a lone accident or that which involves other road users.

When a motorcyclist is not properly protected via his/her gears, the impact is usually higher, experienced riders who have been involved in one accident or the other usually place premium on safety compare to a newbie. Experience they say is the best teacher, I have had reasons to engage riders who have been involved in motorcycle accidents and I got several terrifying stories of what they went through during and after the incidence.

Accidents always come with depression and worries; it slows down progress because the time which could have been used for productive activities would be spent at the hospital or at home. Powerbilke accidents discourages potential lovers of the sports, my gospel is that you must make the hobby attractive by always being careful and only do a speed that you can control at all times.

Motorcycles are tempting especially those that come with loud pipes, riding to impress is the worst of all, and passerby and onlookers are always fond of hailing the riders and this mostly leave the rider in regret because if adequate care is not taken, the rider will attempt what he has not mastered.

The best form of safety is “common sense”. A large number of riders still pay lip service to safety and this has sent many to early graves, know the terrain where you are riding, know who you are riding with and always anticipate and prepare for the worst on the road at all times.
